Bury

buryslideBury borough will see a 20% reduction in daytime fire engines and a 40% reduction in night time fire engines.  76% of all wards in Bury borough will have to wait longer for a fire engine to arrive, this includes 75% of the high risk wards.

The changes at Bury and Ramsbottom will see both stations reduced to one fire engine at night this will impact  the resilience across the borough and the county. These reductions are compounded by the big cuts in the neighboring borough of Rochdale.  The reduction of more stations to one fire engine will mean a single incident of even a small size will increasingly strip larger areas of fire cover.
