Salford

salfordslide

Salford borough on the face of things looks to come through unscathed, but because of the cuts affecting TraffordManchester and Wigan there will inevitably be pressure put on resources in Salford.

The high risk ward of Barton will have to wait longer for a fire engine. It's claimed almost all other wards will get a faster attendance times, there are no extra resources available in this area and no explanation of how this will be achieved, we can only assume these reductions are aspirational. Crew sizes across the brigade will be smaller and this reduction gives rise to fears around crew and public safety.
